If and when I post direct download links (an unlikely event since this quickly eats up storage allocation), they will only be for 100% original content.

Comments are completely disabled. I do this not only to discourage spammers but to keep this site a safe place. This isn’t an interactive blog and I want to keep its intentions very clear and focused. There are many, many other site options out there for general discussion and discourse. If you truly have a song suggestion for me to check out, please use the contact form. I don’t bite, but I want to make sure that no one else does, either.

Music Ideas for Writers & Writing

1-4 new posts every week and a longer review once a month (time permitting).

What’s the point of this blog? Exactly what it sounds like: music ideas to help writers (and similar creative types) think, concentrate, and otherwise meander their way into optimum working conditions.

This isn’t an original idea for a blog, but it will hopefully nonetheless be helpful to someone. Expect heavy representation from soundtracks, orchestral music, atmospheric/ambient, piano solos, and folk/Celtic. Many selections will also have a New Age or smooth jazz piano flavor.

Posts about albums or longer tracks will generally include an attempt at a long review, but this blog isn’t specifically a critic’s corner.
